SURVIVORS!!

I hope this assignment will be one of the very most fun things you have ever thought about and written! Give it some good attention, and you'll find that you have ideas to express. One of the most satisfying things you will ever do as a human is be able to learn to express yourself. I BELIEVE THAT YOU HAVE VALUABLE IDEAS TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE WORLD!!!!!

HERE ARE THE FACTS OF YOUR SURVIVAL!:
EVERY OTHER HUMAN BUT THE FIVE YOU CHOOSE TO SURVIVE (AND YOURSELF) HAS BEEN DESTROYED.
ALL EVIDENCE OF MANKIND IS DESTROYED.
ANIMAL AND VEGETATION STILL EXIST AS THEY DID BEFORE THE END.
ONE WEEK BEFORE THE DESTRUCTION YOU HAD A DREAM OF THE END WHICH INSPIRED YOU (MUCH LIKE NOAH) TO PACK A 5'x5' BOX (MADE OF ANYTHING YOU CHOOSE...HINT HINT) WITH ANYTHING FROM THE PRESENT CIVILIZATION WHICH YOU DESIRE TO PRESERVE PLUS ALL MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED TO BEGIN A NEW WORLD. CHOOSE CAREFULLY
YOU MAY CHOOSE ANYWHERE ON THE EARTH TO RESETTLE. One paragraph to tell why
YOU MAY ALSO CHOOSE TWO ANIMALS TO TAKE WITH YOU ON YOUR JOURNEY. One paragraph to tell why
PLEASE CHOOSE 4 BOOKS THAT YOU WILL PRESERVE. One paragraph to tell why.
PLEASE CHOOSE ONE ARTISTIC OBJECT TO PRESERVE. One paragraph to tell why.


YOUR ASSIGNMENT WILL CONSIST OF
--at least one paragraph (5 sentences minimum) describing how the end came to be
--one paragraph (5 sentences minimum) defending why you chose each of your other 5 survivors—Use great detail!
--Every item in your box must have a purpose which you describe

I anticipate that this paper probably cannot be written in less than 4 double-spaced typed pages. It may be longer. Illustrate with drawings if you desire. Pictures from magazines may also be included for bonus points.

Type the manuscript
Proof!!!
Proof again!!
Two peer proofs with a self-editing paper to be attached
Make a final Perfect copy
Hand in your perfect copy, the copy with all the correction edit marks, and the self-editing sheet attached to the top

Time frame—We will probably have about 5 or 6 classes in which to accomplish this task. You aren't doing this assignment correctly unless you're having ONE GREAT TIME completing it!!!!!! MTH
